Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

“All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake up in the day to find it was vanity, but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” —T. E.

Also, “Not my monkeys. Not my circus.”

  1. Is that from a poem by T.S. Elliot? If so, can you provide the title of the poem. I kind of owe my passion for digging into a poetry to Elliot’s The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. It was such a tough poem to wrap my brain around but I kept reading it and it opened up for me one day.

“Not my circus, not my monkeys” is one of my favorite quote too! I lean more on it now than any other. 🫶🏾

    1. Hi Shonda, I am so sorry for taking so long to respond. For some reason I am just seeing this now. I must have missed it. This quote comes from T.E. Lawrence’s book Seven Pillars of Wisdom. This quote is also known as Lawrence of Arabia, a name by which he is better known—at least according to Google. I hope this is helpful. Thanks so much for stopping by!!
